《Sharing》Friends of artist - artist pens, small art book + a little bit mood

I'm so lazy to set up the painting stuffs sometimes, so I tend to draw sketch more recently. Last weekend, I've found the different kinds of grey artist pens in stationery shop, and of course, I bought it without any hesitation again :)

Found an old painting layout when tidying up the drawer.

This is my very old drawing by a super thick pencil. And actually this is a portrait of a Savage Garden member, Darren Hayes, I guess nobody will forget the following song, enjoy~

Molding difficulties at home (made by gypsum powder and mold gel)

Last whole year, I've searched so many information about molding on web, I find it seems really not that easy to make it at home if I want to create a container body with curve. Actually it's easy to make a mold for object with simple shape, you just need the mold gel and gypsum powder, and then do it as the following steps will be okay.

You could see the steps above, we need 2 mold blocks for outside mold when the final object is a solid. But since the object is an arc-shaped container, we should need 3 blocks instead. In these situation, difficulties come! Firstly, we don't have the vacuum casting machine at home. Secondly, when we have to make 3 parts of mold, and we must make the mold blocks(part 2 & part 3) by laying down the solid mold horrizontally, I really wonder if we could stick it tightly at the right position with the outside mold part 1? See the situation below, are there anybody got solution for these? I guess people may meet the problems during creating works, hope can join the discussion and make it solve, thank you!

「南島」是從「南島語族」（Austronesian）這個人類學名詞而來，意指居住於南太平洋及印度洋各島嶼之族群，分布北起臺灣、東達復活節島、西到馬達加斯加島、南抵紐西蘭，其語言與人種眾多，居住地風景純淨、文化多元。

臺東縣政府特於每兩年辦理一次「南島國際美術獎」，召喚藝術家拓展藝術創作之能量，打開世界之心以當代省思與臺東在地特質、山海自然及南島語族的人文脈絡、環境議題、生活記憶等進行多角度國際對話。本活動更具體要求創作者親赴臺東進駐及創作，親身體驗南島語族於臺東的生活風貌，進而使作品與南島精神產生更深刻的呼應，與在地激盪出新美學能量，同時將這能量散播到國際，期待本美術獎成為一個開放平臺，展現世界各地創作者對南島議題的關懷。

參賽資格：不限族群、國籍，歡迎海內外之個人或創作團隊參加競賽。

Submission to the 2016 Austronesian International Arts Award
Philosophy
The word “Austronesian” comes from an anthropological term, Austronesian language family. It refers to ethnic groups living on islands in the South Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. Such ethnic groups are widely distributed, covering Taiwan to the north, Easter Island to the east, Madagascar to the west and New Zealand to the south. The family contains a large number of Austronesian languages and ethnic origins with pure, clean scenery and diverse cultures in inhabited areas. Many literary reviews have proved that Taiwan is where the Austronesian language family originated. Thus, the Austronesian cultural lifestyle can be felt from the lives of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples.
Located on the eastern side of Taiwan, Taitung boasts much natural beauty in addition to well-rooted cultural elements. Austronesian culture happens to be a key element in Taitung’s cultural elements. Thus, the Taitung County Government organizes the Austronesian International Arts Award biennially as a way to encourage artists to expand the energy of their artistic creations, open up the heart of the world to contemporary reflections and multiple-perspectives, promote international dialogue regarding Taitung’s local characteristics, natural scenery, the cultural network, environmental topics, and the life memories of the Austronesian language family. This event requires creators to complete an artist residency program in Taitung, and experience Austronesian life personally during their creative process so that their artwork resonates deeper with the Austronesian spirit. This will produce new aesthetic energy that resonates with the locale, to be disseminated internationally. The hope is for this art award to become an open platform to express concern about Austronesian topics from creators around the world.

Eligibility
The competition is open to artists all over the world regardless of ethnicity or nationality. Individual and creative groups both domestic and overseas are invited to participate.
Each individual or group is limited to one application. Duplicate applications are not allowed. Individual artists may not be included concurrently on a separate creative group application.
As final contestants must be able to complete an artist’s residency in Taitung, entrants must not be restricted from going abroad or restricted by military service requirements according to legal regulations in their respective countries.
Group entrants must designate one representative.
If any entrant’s eligibility is in question, the county government and evaluation committee will make the final decision.

Competition Submission Information
There is no medium or size limitation to the artworks.
Submit reference works created after January 1st, 2011 and a creative plan for the residency period in Taitung.

有關，文藝交煥。

夜無一人。

我就趁現無一人，述說一下我建立這片空間，亦即民藝交煥的原由。

現在不是巴洛克時代，也不是印刷技越見普及的Pop art時期，但無論世界進入了一個多不泿漫的時代，人類要演化到怎樣的一個模樣，也會有不同形式的創作。

只要我們都仍有思想，就仍會有創作。

本人並非一個擅於詞令的人，甚至很多時候會整個腦袋也充滿著大堆毫無關連的思潮，
這就是我的生活，不知你們的生活會不會都離不開這種情況呢？

或者，我們的肉身每天需要負責運作的具體事情太多了。
結果呢？心情留不下，靈感亦捉不住，白白流失的東西太多了。
而且要找對的人談論對的事談何容易?

一些有用有趣的資訊，與其被冷落辜負，遠不及跟有興趣的人分享之快，同意嗎？

之前輾轉找了很久，我發覺就是沒有一個地方可以聚集到一群有意思的人，一同交換一下自己的點子與創作。想找一些冷門一點但又能用作創作原料的資訊嗎？也是非常之困難，所以也非常希望大家能踴躍分享一下~

雖然這是一個交流性質的平台，但我希望這地方能夠活一點，所以我會定期在這個地方留下一些很本人的痕跡(如上:D)。好了，已經十一時多了，也是時候督促自己準備就寢了，晚安。
